Tony Robbins has said that people change for one of two reasons: either inspiration or desperation.
I agree with him to a certain extent, but I feel that people can also change for a combination of the two. Whatever the reason, your want has to become a ‘MUST’.
In terms of my ‘weight loss’, I have been saying I want to lose weight for too many years now. I have tried and failed too many times to count. However, it has come down to desperation. I have a family wedding to attend to in a few months and I want to look and feel my best. It’s about time, where I take this healthy lifestyle thing seriously. Sure, I’ve been eating somewhat healthier, but I haven’t been working out or sleeping properly. I know that I need to incorporate changes into my life that will help me achieve my fitness goals.
So now that I am in a state where my want has become a must, I have reached a place where all I need is a lot of inspiration. Instead of hoping and wishing, I will work hard to keep on top of my fitness goals. I will motivate myself and find inspiration through Pinterest boards and quotes, Instagram pictures and whatever else speaks to me.
I have challenged myself to blog for 30 days (currently day 2). It’s easier said than done, but I am willing and determined to do it. Every journey starts with baby steps; little by little you get closer to your dreams. I am on a journey to become healthier as well as a journey to rebuilding my confidence in finishing things that I have started and keeping my word.
I am excited to tackle this next challenge and seeing where it takes me.
